Overview: As an Account manager, you will bring your leadership, research expertise, business intelligence and analytic thinking to successfully help clients solve complex business problems through providing high quality customized marketing research.&nbsp; Applying your business expertise, you will identify and pursue business opportunities with clients and manage a set of client relationships to build your business and meet financial goals.&nbsp;  Using your industry and research knowledge, you will develop proposals, design studies, and manage the execution of multiple projects to effectively provide business insights through high-quality client deliverables that support our unique ability to use market research to have business impact.&nbsp;  Leveraging your initiative to solve problems and ability to mentor people, you will provide senior-level guidance to project teams through analytic support, report writing review and client delivery on various research quantitative and qualitative methodologies.&nbsp;  Your ability and initiative to meet deadlines, extract meaningful insights and recommendations, communicate with&nbsp;clients&nbsp;and manage their expectations will be met with growth opportunities.
Responsibilities: In this role, you will:&nbsp; <ul> <li>Generate business by partnering with business development executive to lead and grow client relationships.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continually cultivate and expand existing relationships while identifying new business opportunities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop client rapport and manage expectations through communications that develop trust and build strong relationships.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage costs and quality of all projects sold.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop proposals, design marketing research studies, and direct the execution of those studies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support a team as they execute on your projects, ensuring they produce thorough, high-quality deliverables while achieving excellent financial results.&nbsp;</li> <li>Guide analysis for multiple projects; be available to serve as a team resource for decision making and direction.</li> <li>Apply solid business understanding to deliver actionable, impactful findings to clients.&nbsp;</li> <li>Travel to meet clients as needed, for proposal and report delivery.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be a vocal team leader, formally and informally.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support or lead company initiatives.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: ABOUT YOU&nbsp; <ul> <li>A./B.S. in related field such as Business, Economics, or Social Sciences. M.A. or MBA preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>At least 5 years of Marketing or Marketing Research experience within a specialized industry or Research Supplier- specifically with tracking studies, plus 2+ years experience&nbsp;in sales or business development with a marketing research, advertising research, or consulting services organization.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment, and interface effectively with all levels of staff.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficient in building and maintaining client relationships.&nbsp;</li> <li>Preferred expertise in one or more business verticals or study methodologies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.&nbsp;</li> <li>Willingness to travel, domestic and abroad, as necessary to meet goals&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent organizational,&nbsp;verbal&nbsp;and written communication skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficient analyst and report writer.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience utilizing a structured sales methodology preferred (such as Target Account Selling, Strategic Selling, or Solution Selling).&nbsp;</li> <li>Able to guide project managers, multiple&nbsp;projects&nbsp;and teams simultaneously to deliver quality deliverables with strong financial performance.  &nbsp;</li> <li>Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, team player.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
