Overview: We have an immediate position available for an Media Director to lead and evolve T3&rsquo;s media practice from our Austin, TX office. Because our office is currently remote due to COVID-19, we have flexibility to hire outside of the Austin area (Austin-residence preferred). This role will be responsible for collaborating with Senior Media Planners and Associate Media Directors to grow a stable of emerging client relationships including health care, financial services and home decor. Candidates must be proficient in strategic planning, media performance management, optimization and analytics with experience across online/offline channels. <br /><br />About the team: Our media team is nimble, agile and innovative while able to manage large media budgets across dynamic media programs. Strategy experts work alongside media planning and buying teams to create the strongest connections possible between the brand and its audiences and between various branded touchpoints. Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: The ideal candidate should have a background in the buying, execution, and evaluation of social, digital and traditional media while also possessing the ability to tell a compelling and client-focused story that demonstrates how media drives measurable and impactful results for a brand at the macro level. <ul> <li>Strong storyteller with an ability to &ldquo;sell-in&rdquo; media plans to clients</li> <li>Exceptional understanding of media strategy and tactics with an informed and well-defined POV on the elements of a successful, modern media program. Previous experience planning and buying social, video, and display is a requirement; experience with audio, OOH, and TV is a bonus</li> <li>Leads, prepares and delivers digital campaign strategies and oversees plan implementation and execution&mdash;managing planners and coordinators for campaign design, trafficking and pacing</li> <li>Finds opportunities for media partnerships and stewards these relationships to build and futureproof the practice</li> <li>Works collaboratively with our Measurement and Insights team to find, develop and apply data in order to inform performance, optimizations and recommendations</li> <li>Works collaboratively across the rest of the Connections practice; works cross-functionally with other teams like account management and creative; and works with our broader parent network, Material+ on things like new business, thought leadership, etc.</li> <li>Supports new business efforts, acting as a key subject matter expert on RFP responses and/or pitch teams and driving growth for our practice and portfolio</li> <li>Coaches and mentors junior team members and identifies key opportunities for their career development; committed to building diverse, capable and curious teams</li> <li>Contributes to T3 marketing initiatives through interviews, conferences and content development</li> </ul>
Requirements: The ideal candidate: <ul> <li>7-10+ years of media planning and buying with current or history of agency experience; has worked with both B2B and B2C clients. Experience in financial services/fintech, home goods and healthcare is highly desirable for this position though it is not a requirement.</li> <li>Exceptional, operational understanding of current and future state digital media landscape and fundamentals.</li> <li>Extensive ability to craft and deliver presentations.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with syndicated research tools (comScore, Nielsen, MRI, Kantar, eMarketer, etc.).</li> <li>Expert with ad serving platforms across display, search and social (DoubleClick, AdWords, Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest self-service, etc.).</li> <li>Ability to identify, organize, prioritize and manage the workloads for self and junior level media staff.</li> <li>Drive to win new business and a desire to collaborate and grow the practice with other senior team members and executive leadership.</li> </ul>
