Overview: <strong>Job Description</strong> <br />Content strategy fuels every aspect of our work at Material. Our content strategists partner with teams across project life spans to help build smart frameworks for kick-ass creative solutions that achieve client, user and agency goals. We&rsquo;re looking for a brainiac to collaborate with account, strategy, product design, social, creative, tech, production and client teams to bring detailed documentation to life in ways that excite and motivate people. Spreadsheet skills are critical, but Excel-jockeys need not apply. The Content Strategist is a team player who is equal parts creative thinker, systematic doer and word nerd. Projects will include websites, apps, multimedia campaigns and much more. Strong interactive (UX) chops, social media fluency and a mobile-friendly mentality are a must. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include: <ul> <li>Leads content strategy workstreams</li> <li>Plans and runs content strategy workshops</li> <li>Creates content strategy deliverables</li> <li>Analyzes results of stakeholder interviews and customer research</li> <li>Captures metadata, taxonomy and nomenclature guidelines</li> <li>Performs content inventories, content audits and gap analyses</li> <li>Creates, evaluates and updates content according to guidelines</li> <li>Implements predefined naming and tagging conventions</li> <li>Manages content matrices, editorial calendars and style guidelines</li> <li>Documents current end-to-end content management processes</li> <li>Manages and mentors junior team members</li> </ul>
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: <ul> <li>5-8 years of agency experience; 3-5 years of content strategy experience</li> <li>Formidable strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>An ability to communicate effectively with teammates</li> <li>A history of delivering results on time</li> <li>An urge to create order out of chaos</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Adobe Creative Suite</li> <li>Awareness of the content marketing landscape</li> <li>Awareness of agile methodology (prior experience is a plus)</li> </ul>
