Responsibilities: <ol> <li>Administer Microsoft and Linux servers.</li> <li>Plan and install server systems in physical / virtual environment.</li> <li>Detect, analyze and resolve system issues associated with server hardware, operating systems and applications software.</li> <li>Ensure system changes are implemented correctly for all affected servers and personal computers and troubleshoot associated issues.</li> <li>Routinely monitor system performance.</li> <li>Perform system backups and recovery.</li> <li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot VMware including vCenter, vSpherereplication, and Site Recovery Manager.</li> <li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IIS.</li> <li>Administer company-wide storage systems.</li> <li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks.</li> <li>Ensure disk I/O performance and capacity planning.</li> <li>Administer telecommunication systems as needed.</li> <li>Install phones as required throughout each facility location.</li> <li>Administer systems supporting telecommunication software.</li> <li>Develop and maintain system documentation to track system and server administration.</li> <li>Provide customer support, including analyzing and resolving user problems.</li> <li>Conduct user training for various Information Technology systems.</li> <li>Periodically review Information Technology systems and recommend improvements.</li> <li>Evaluate purchasing options and make recommendations regarding appropriate IT products and the most cost effective pricing.</li> <li>Ensure maintenance and security of server computing environment.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <strong>Education:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Technical Training Certificate in an Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Experience:</strong> <br /><br /> <ul> <li>At least 10 years administration experience with Linux and Microsoft server operating system.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge and understanding of a range of computer and networking software and hardware systems and related technologies.</li> <li>Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, and/or related hardware and software.</li> <li>Ability to analyze and assess computer/network architecture requirements and determine optimum cost effective solutions.</li> <li>Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.</li> <li>Computer/network systems planning skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards.</li> <li>Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.</li> <li>Knowledge of computer security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.</li> <li>Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Why Choose a Career at Maxor?</strong><br /><br />Maxor offers a diverse, progressive culture that supports a work from home model, a &ldquo;dress for your day&rdquo; attire, and a collaborative, team oriented environment.
