Overview: <strong>Maxor National Pharmacy Services</strong> is seeking a compassionate, customer service oriented, full time <strong>Certified Pharmacy Technician</strong> for the outpatient pharmacy located at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.<br /><br /><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong><br />Maxor National Pharmacy Services Corporation is seeking an experienced, customer-service oriented Pharmacy Technician for our managed outpatient pharmacy in Athens, GA. The outpatient pharmacy is located at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. This unique position is responsible for the coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying/re-verifying insurance benefits; translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system; communicating and collecting copay amounts; prior authorizations/reauthorizations; and screening, identifying, resolving or deferring orders.
Responsibilities: <strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):</strong><br /><br /> <ol> <li>Ensure technicians are equipped with the necessary tools/resources needed to be successful and self-sufficient in problem-solving situations</li> <li>Meet with pharmacy manager weekly and on an as-needed basis to discuss status, progress, issues, etc.</li> <li>Participate in training/shadowing and become proficient at every station</li> <li>Create weekly/monthly technician work schedule</li> <li>Establish a positive and encouraging culture where mistakes are addressed as training opportunities and each team member is self-motivated to strive for continuous improvement</li> <li>May act as patient advocate documenting communications with the client/patient, including Welcome Packet content and/or concerns resulting from their treatment.</li> <li>Provide assistance with insurance audits and inspections</li> <li>Survey, conference and strategize solutions with patients who have provided feedback via InMoment</li> <li>Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.</li> <li>Comply with Maxor&rsquo;s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor&rsquo;s Compliance Program.</li> <li>Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.</li> <li>Complete required training and ensure the departmental staff training is completed as required.</li> <li>Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.</li> <li>Ensure staff is informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner.</li> <li>Develop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team.</li> <li>Promote teamwork</li> <li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <strong>Education:</strong> High school diploma, Must be nationally certified and registered as a Pharmacy Technician (as required by the state of employment) at time of employment<br /><br /><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in retail pharmacy as Registered Pharmacy Technician<br /><br /><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong><br /><br /> <ol> <li>General knowledge of pharmacy principles, practices and procedures, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, general mathematics, personal computers</li> <li>Ability to operate various types of pharmacy computer software and equipment</li> <li>Ability to use a CRT to access patient/drug information systems</li> <li>Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time while performing pharmacy duties</li> <li>Ability to lift, store and carry supplies and equipment</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills when working with all individuals to provide optimal patient care</li> <li>Hours of operation are 9a-8p M-F and 10-5 Sat &amp; Sun and open on holidays.</li> </ol> <strong>Why Should You Choose Maxor?</strong><br /><br />Maxor offers a culture that promotes teamwork and where employees are valued as the Company&rsquo;s best asset.
