Overview: Maxor has an opportunity for an experienced IT Desktop Administrator to join our growing pharmacy company. The Desktop Administrator interacts with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly. Responsible for writing documentation to describe product corrections. Writes manual for end-users to describe installation and operating procedures. Familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. The Desktop Administrator is responsible for the life-cycle management of all Maxor desktop / laptop computers including configuration management, change management and release management activities. These responsibilities include activities such as software deployments (Off the Shelf as well as Maxor developed), desktop/laptop updates (security patches, viruses, encryption, etc.), and OS Upgrades. Provides second level support to the IT Service Desk as needed. The Desktop Administrator is responsible for mobile device management (corporate and personal devices). Responsibilities: <ol> <li>Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages.</li> <li>Provide excellent customer service and end-user training.</li> <li>Responsible for confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and credit card data (PCI) on desktop / laptop hardware using standards such as hardware encryption.</li> <li>Troubleshoot PC-related equipment down to the component level, when necessary.</li> <li>Troubleshoot application issues, including isolating problems to networks or servers.</li> <li>Execute hardware, software and OS installations/upgrades.</li> <li>Performs move, add, change, and delete (MACD) for PCs and related peripherals.</li> <li>Log details of support provided in the service desk trouble-ticketing system, which includes updating the IT inventory database.</li> <li>Train local users on PC-related issues (for example, backup or virtual private network VPN access).</li> <li>Stay informed of trends in PC hardware and software, troubleshooting, automation technologies and other business changes that could affect PC service and support.</li> <li>Work to support key service-level goals, including average response time, mean time to repair, end-user satisfaction, call avoidance, equipment setup time and end-user productivity.</li> <li>Perform basic system administration, such as password reset, account creation and account deletion.</li> <li>Advance the use of a knowledge repository to share information among all levels of IT service and support.</li> <li>Leverage IT service and support best practices and process frameworks, such as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), to drive continual process improvement.</li> <li>Assist and / or take ownership of complex helpdesk tickets.</li> <li>Desktop Administrators are expected to work 8-5 during normal business hours of operations and available for off-hours support when necessary.</li> <li>This role may have project responsibilities, including the support of new hardware, OSs, management systems or application pilots.</li> <li>Desktop Administrators are expected to work collaboratively with other IT service delivery members for example, IT service Desk, Third-level Support, Infrastructure and Applications to troubleshoot incidents.</li> <li>Desktop Administrators also are expected to collaborate with peers to develop best practices and foster the continuous improvement of IT service and support.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <strong>Education:</strong> <br /><br /> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent (required)</li> <li>Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university preferred.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Experience:</strong> <br /><br /> <ul> <li>2-5 years of directly related experience</li> <li>Desktop Computer / Laptop / Mobile Device troubleshooting / repair experience required.</li> <li>Previous experience in an IT service desk role is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience in retail pharmacy operations (desirable).</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong><br /><br /> <ol> <li>Managing these OS / systems (required): Windows 10; Microsoft Office 2016, Office 365, Active Directory.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer 10.x +, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Outlook/Exchange. TCP/IP networking.
