Responsibilities: <strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):</strong><br /><br /> <ol> <li>Assist pharmacists in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.</li> <li>Provide friendly and cooperative customer service.</li> <li>Enter patient data accurately.</li> <li>Answer telephones quickly and with courtesy.</li> <li>Conduct patient outreach for the Specialy Patient Management Program</li> <li>Operate the cash register and ring sales.</li> <li>Pull and count medication from shelves accurately according to label generated at time of dispensing for final check by Pharmacist.</li> <li>Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, training programs for Pharmacy Technicians, pharmacy staff meetings, in-service educational programs and other committees and functions as required by the facility and pharmacy department.</li> <li>Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and complete patient records.</li> <li>Assist in inventory control such as auditing receipt of goods, inventorying, stocking, pricing, monitoring usage, and correcting pricing and quantities in the computer.</li> <li>Remove, pick up, and/or deliver drug orders if necessary.</li> <li>Inform patients of any notations on prescription bag.</li> <li>Inform the pharmacist of any alerts form the pharmacy system, such as contraindications, interactions, and allergies.</li> <li>Enter and maintain non-preferred drug requests in the PA system.</li> <li>Verify NDC number to pull and count medications form shelves.</li> <li>Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.</li> <li>Issue supplies to other pharmacies or departments as needed.</li> <li>Pre-pack and document medications accurately as needed.</li> <li>Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.</li> <li>Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.</li> <li>Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.</li> <li>Comply with Maxor&rsquo;s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor&rsquo;s Compliance Program.</li> <li>Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.</li> <li>Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.</li> <li>Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.</li> <li>Maintains regular attendance according to established policies.</li> <li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned.</li> </ol>
Requirements: <strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Flexible to cover shifts between 9:30am-6:30pm NO WEEKENDS</li> <li>Current PTCB Certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire (Maxor Assists)</li> <li>2+ years retail pharmacy experience; experience in HIV/AIDS clinical setting preferred.</li> <li>Computer experience mandatory</li> <li>Proven track record of exemplary customer service</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Bilingual Spanish speaking skills a PLUS</li> <li>Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Why Should You Choose Maxor?</strong><br /><br />Maxor offers a culture that promotes teamwork and where employees are valued as the Company&rsquo;s best asset.
