Overview: Maxor National Pharmacy Services is seeking a highly competent, compassionate PRN Pharmacist for our pharmacy located at the Livingston Community Health Center in Livingston, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist to join an outstanding team of dedicated professionals. The pharmacy is managed by Maxor National Pharmacy Services, headquartered in Amarillo, TX. <br /><br />We offer an integrated approach to patient care, as the pharmacy team collaborates closely with the doctors and nurses in the healthcare center. The pharmacy team will be an integral part of the care team for each patient. So, you would have a direct hand in improving outcomes. To be the patients centered medical home, all care at Livingston Community Health is coordinated with the patient and their family is at the center of everything they do. <br /><br /> <br /><br />JOB SUMMARY<br />Directs and coordinates all pharmacy activities, including clinical services, performance improvement, dispensing, and the purchasing, receipt and storage of pharmaceuticals. Collaborates with upper level management in order to ensure the deliverance of high quality pharmacy services and safe, effective, and appropriate medication treatment.
Responsibilities: Responsible for performing all of the dispensing duties of a pharmacist, that all customers receive safe and accurate dispensing, and for adhering to all State and Federal Pharmacy laws regarding the dispensing of medications, record keeping, etc. Successful candidate will also be responsible for expanding and enhancing clinical services in the ambulatory care setting including MTM in this position. Pharmacist will precept pharmacy students and residents and serve as a drug information resource to patients and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements: <strong>Education:</strong> <br /><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, or Pharm. D., from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the state board of licensure.</li> <li>Licensed to practice pharmacy in California</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Experience:</strong> <br /><br /> <ul> <li>One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred</li> <li>Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.</li> <li>Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.</li> <li>Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.</li> <li>Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.</li> <li>Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.</li> <li>Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.</li> <li>Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager</li> </ul> <br /><br />Please apply online at https://careers-maxor.icims.com/
