Overview: <div>Primary technical resource person within the corporation related to designing, programming, repairing, and monitoring of controls systems. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Design, implement and maintain controls systems in production environment.</li> <li>Troubleshooting and/or modifying PLCs or system controls.</li> <li>Integrating sensors into robotic systems.</li> <li>Programming of robots using Allen Bradley PLC programming software.</li> <li>Write PLCs for production monitoring systems.</li> <li>Monitor signals in ladder logic during downtime to determine software/hardware that may be replaced.</li> <li>Coordinate and communicate with plant level engineers and operations teams to solve technical problems.</li> <li>Participates in cost reduction programs and projects.</li> <li>Ability to budget and manage multiple projects.</li> <li>Helps with selection process on new capital equipment for production</li> <li>Spec, purchase, install, connect, and link systems controls to new machinery.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <div><strong><u>EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE</u></strong>:&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>High School Diploma or GED required.&nbsp; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prior experience in engineering, maintenance or related field in a manufacturing environment preferred.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong><u>OTHER REQUIREMENTS</u></strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <ul> <li>Computer literacy required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and 3D modeling software such as Inventor.</li> <li>Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required while performing duties in production areas.</li> <li>Maintain organized schedules and filing</li> <li>Some computer literacy and data entry knowledge.</li> <li>Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming software.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings.</li> <li>Familiarity with ERP system, Plex helpful.</li> <li>Experience with Yaskawa robots preferred.</li> </ul>
