Overview: McKenney's is seekeing a Test &amp; Balance Technician to join our Commissioning department.&nbsp;This is an entry level position responsible for learning proficiency in Testing, adjusting, and balancing while performing diversified duties as a TAB Technician.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Take a proactive approach in participating in the company&rsquo;s NEBB TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and company standards and practices are maintained.&nbsp;<em>The company&rsquo;s educational program for TAB Technician Training was implemented to ensure team member success and increased customer satisfaction through project consistency.</em></li> <li>Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components.</li> <li>Adjust systems for meeting the required settings through performance testing.</li> <li>Testing the performance of air and hydronic systems, using tools and specialized (company provided) test equipment, such as a/an Pitot tube, Manometer, Anemometer, Velometer, Tachometer, Psychrometer, and Thermometer, to isolate problems and determine necessary adjustments.</li> <li>Discuss system operations with end users to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.</li> <li>Diagnose, Test, Adjust, and Balance system components to achieve optimal system performance.</li> <li>Investigate system and operational deficiencies to determine corrective actions.</li> <li>Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques and project management approaches.</li> <li>Prepare each project by conducting a system design review and assembling the required test forms for documentation purposes.</li> <li>Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures.&nbsp; All Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing performed, and any issues discovered are to be addressed fully using clear verbiage and accompanied with supporting documentation (as required).</li> <li>The use of ladders is required to complete the task of Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing of air and hydronic systems.&nbsp; All employees must possess the ability to safely exercise ladder usage.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><u><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.</li> <li>Basic Microsoft Operating System knowledge (Excel &amp; MS Word)</li> </ul> <p><u><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>NABB certified TAB technician</li> <li>A minimum of one-year experience in the TAB industry</li> </ul> <p><u><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Ability to climb and work at heights, walking, and standing for extended periods of time, lifting, bending, pushing, and moving objects up to 75 pounds.</li> <li>Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments; must also be able to drive in various conditions to conduct work.</li> <li>Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.</li> <li>Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Moving Safety Forward, our initiative for continuous improvements in our safety culture, reminds us that we are on a journey toward a zero-incident culture.
