We are a thriving company with 70 years of exceptional service to the Southeast. </span><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Plumbing Service Technicians (Journeyman) will be required to perform skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of Plumbing systems. Under the direction of the service operations manager a technician will install, diagnose, inspect, repair, maintain and service a wide variety of plumbing systems.</span></p> </div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Install, diagnose, inspect, repair, maintain, and service a wide variety of plumbing systems.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Repair; troubleshoot and maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Must understand various drainage and vent systems and the ability to repair, maintain and troubleshoot.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Identify different piping materials and proper tools and methods for repairing and installing the different materials.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Soldering, brazing, threading and pro-press.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Installation and repair of plumbing fixtures and appliances.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Installation and repair of gas piping.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Basic electrical knowledge for appliances, lift stations, and water heaters.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Safely operate drain cleaning and inspection equipment such as, jetter, sewer camera, and drain machines.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Determine requirements for parts, materials, supplies, tools and equipment; establish cost of repairs and equipment replacement; check and test new equipment.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair and maintenance of plumbing systems.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Backflow Preventer installation, repair, and inspections.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and orderly condition.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Perform related duties that are assigned.</span></li> </ul> <p style="margin-left: .5in;">&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>5 years of Apprentice School or a Technical School degree, or a combination of journey-level experience.</li> <li>Valid Georgia driver&rsquo;s license. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability during the term of employment.</li> <li>Journeyman or Master Plumbing license</li> </ul> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Standard practices and theory of the plumbing trade</li> <li>Backflow Certification</li> <li>Medical Gas Certification.</li> <li>Confined space certification.</li> <li>Experience with operating heavy equipment.</li> <li>Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations</li> <li>Experience in basic record-keeping techniques</li> </ul> <p><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS</u></p> <ul> <li>Must Observe legal and defensive driving practices</li> <li>Ability to perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.</li> <li>Ability to interpret and work from plans, diagrams, blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and specifications</li> <li>Ability to follow oral/written instructions and directions</li> <li>Must be able to operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.</li> <li>Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing.</li> <li>Must be able to work cooperatively with others.</li> <li>Must be able to work independently with little direction</li> <li>Must meet schedules and time lines</li> <li>Must be able to maintain routine records</li> </ul>
