Overview: The McKenney&rsquo;s application engineer will be tasked with the development of control system engineering documents and software including: overall control network architecture, detailed wiring termination sheets, parts lists, equipment schedules, sequences of operation, application programming check lists, and point-to-point control system checkout lists. The application engineer will maintain communication with: the account representative, the assigned control system project manager, and mechanical systems project manager.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Preparation of control systems submittals, as-built wiring diagrams, and operating and maintenance manuals.&nbsp;</li> <li>Utilization of Project Support Center personnel for Revit work; assembly, and delivery of completed submittal or O&amp;M packages; and material logistics.</li> <li>Adherence to the building design specifications, plans, VE modifications, and salesman's estimate are mandatory in the position as is adherence to McKenney's ACS design and implementation standards.</li> <li>Participation in ongoing review and enhancement of the McKenney's ACS design and implementation standards along with the management team.</li> <li>Frequent jobsite visits to establish clear scope of work prior to starting engineering tasks and attendance at project jobsite field turnover meetings.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>4 years experience working in an engineering or design capacity on communicating or networked electronic systems</li> <li>Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences or equivalent technical training in a related field with 2 years of the required experience are working directly with commercial facility digital control and facility management systems.</li> </ul> <h5><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></h5> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences.</li> <li>Experience in HVAC Controls, Building Automation, or Energy Monitoring</li> <li>Advanced competency in Autodesk Revit.</li> <li>Distech and Niagra N4.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, &nbsp;ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated competency in Windows, Microsoft Office, function block programming environments, Web-enabled applications, and database software.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part&nbsp;of a team and independently.</li> <li>Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.</li> <li>Ability to maintain painstaking attention to detail while completing multiple or repetitive tasks.</li> <li>Able to demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.</li> <li>Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.</li> <li>Must project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.</li> <li>Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.</li> </ul>
