Overview: <h4>Successful projects start with accurate, timely, coordinated models that represent construction and coordination conditions. The BIM Project Management Co-Op/Intern will support the responsible BIM PM in coordinating BIM support on construction projects. They will support an internal BIM execution plan that includes project goals, BIM schedule, and the GC BIM coordination plan with the PM team before a project. The BIM Project Management Co-Op/Intern will support the BIM PM as a liaison between McKenney&rsquo;s Project Manager, the customer, and the Virtual Construction team to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the BIM plan. They will ensure that Virtual Construction team members have what they need when they need it to complete their work effectively. This shall be done in accordance with the company objectives and goals. Interaction with Virtual Construction Supervisors, Project Managers, field foremen, and other trade subcontractors will be required.&nbsp;</h4>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support a project specific internal BIM execution plan that at a minimum includes: <ul> <li>VC kick-off meeting defining roles of the PM team, project scope, schedules, and drawing log.</li> <li>Support weekly three week look-ahead meeting and progress review with VC team members and project team. Track and share action items in Smartsheet.</li> <li>Submittal priorities.</li> <li>Project RFI process.</li> <li>Project drawing log expectations and schedule.</li> <li>Project information flow between VC team, field teams, and project managers.</li> <li>Internal BIM Coordination plan to prevent clashes.</li> <li>BIM coordination meeting attendance and prevention of &ldquo;scope creep&rdquo; during coordination.</li> <li>Ensure timely and efficient resolution of clashes identified during the coordination process.</li> <li>Internal drawing review strategy including VC peer review, field review and PM review of drawings.</li> <li>Coordinate work package identification with field leaders early in the project process to reduce rework.</li> <li>Trimble use plan and coordinate workflow with PMs and Trimble technicians.</li> <li>Plan for model and estimate cost comparison.</li> <li>Maximize prefabrication opportunities with field leaders and project managers.</li> <li>Archive process for coordinated signed off models.</li> <li>Facilitate the resolution of clashes identified in the field during installation.</li> <li>Coordinate VC resources to support documentation and optimal On Time rates.</li> <li>Plan for as-built condition drawing/model production.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensure information (backgrounds, construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and drawing logs) is available in a timely manner for VC team members to meet project schedules and goals.</li> <li>Manage and reconcile project BIM schedules with overall project schedules.</li> <li>Ensure company standards are consistently maintained with respect to shop drawing file structures.</li> <li>Support VC performance against estimated (P/R) ratio to a value of 1.0 or less by managing scope and eliminating downtime.</li> <li>Support quantity tracking efforts by reviewing the cost analysis with the project manager to ensure modeled quantities can be tracked through fabrication and installation.</li> <li>Coordinate Fabrication participation as required and design integration to Drawing Log schedule.</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>HS Diploma GED.</li> <li>AutoCAD 2019 or higher: One (1) year.</li> <li>Revit 2019 or higher: One (1) year.</li> <li>Must have advanced PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Autodesk Fabrication, Revit, and Navisworks.</li> <li>Pursuing BS in BIM Management, Construction Management, or Engineering.</li> <li>Coordination software i.e., Glue, Navisworks, or Revizto: One (1) year.</li> <li>Ability to convey technical requirements/systems in fundamental terms.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret architectural construction documents.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical design and shop drawings.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Commitment to detail and deadlines.</li> <li>Excellent time management skills, able to handle many competing priorities.</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.</li> <li>Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.</li> <li>Commitment to continuous improvement while adhering to standard processes and procedures.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS &amp; PHYSICAL EFFORT:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Work will be performed in both a normal office environment and on active construction project sites.</li> <li>Limited exposure to physical risks.</li> <li>Limited physical effort will be required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Moving Safety Forward, our initiative for continuous improvements in our safety culture, reminds us that we are on a journey toward a zero-incident culture.
