Overview: As an HR Generalist, you&rsquo;ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our human resources department. Responsibilities will span across various crucial domains, including benefits, recruiting, event coordination and general HR functions.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assists the Benefits Manager with the following: <ul> <li>FMLA and other leave administration.</li> <li>Support Open Enrollment, Affordable Care Act reporting, year-end processes and audits.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Coordinates company events such as the annual Holiday Party, Fall Festival, etc.</li> <li>Assist in executing HR processes and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.</li> <li>Ensures legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.</li> <li>Conducts New Hire Orientation for office personnel.</li> <li>Coordinates all random drug testing.</li> <li>Administers the Anniversary Gift program.</li> <li>Administers the Tuition Reimbursement program.</li> <li>Supports the Talent Acquisition team with various administrative tasks.</li> <li>Performs other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>At least 3 years&rsquo; experience in an HR role.</li> <li>Must have PC experience in Windows environments, proficient in using Microsoft Suite.</li> <li>College Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experienced in benefits administration.</li> <li>Experience with the recruiting process.</li> <li>Proficient in using Microsoft Smartsheet.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND CHARACTERISTICS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times with respect to appearance, communication, and behavior.</li> <li>Must have excellent communication, organization and customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.</li> <li>Must exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.</li> <li>No or very limited exposure to physical risk.</li> <li>No or very limited physical effort required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This job plan is intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels of this position.
