As one of Atlanta&rsquo;s Best Place to Work, our 70-year-old company offers many rewards to those who rise to the challenge.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The Plumbing Commissioning Technician&rsquo;s role is to perform commissioning activities and plumbing system analysis on construction projects of all types.&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and execute commissioning and testing plans for assigned projects.&nbsp; Maintain project documentation and submit periodic project status reports.&nbsp; Work with the project team to schedule and perform commissioning activities.&nbsp; Perform periodic construction project walk throughs to identify any issue that needs to be resolved before startup.&nbsp;</p> <p>Additionally, the Plumbing Commissioning Technician will be periodically asked to perform skilled work to diagnose, inspect, repair and commission a wide variety of plumbing systems currently under warranty in collaboration with and under the direction of the Startup and Commissioning Field Coordinator and Warranty Manager.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Must have a strong understanding of plumbing systems and able to perform commissioning activities to ensure proper operation upon job turnover.</li> <li>Ability to perform skilled quality job walks to ensure best practices are being performed in the installation of plumbing systems company wide.</li> <li>Ability to interpret and work from plans, diagrams, blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and specifications</li> <li>Perform all forms of plumbing commissioning activities on all types of projects.</li> <li>Perform a complete project review before starting the project</li> <li>Document all point-to-point and functional performance testing</li> <li>Maintain an up to date action item list in Building Start.</li> <li>Communicate job status with the project manager and commissioning team on a daily basis and report any issues that may impede job progress or schedule.</li> <li>Assist the project manager with commissioning scheduling</li> <li>Assist the project manager with communicating technical detail to vendors or factory representatives and other project trades as needed to resolve issues.</li> <li>Mentor Cx apprentices, technician I, technician II and commissioning foremen in the performance of duties within their scope.</li> <li>Troubleshoot plumbing system problems and provide solutions</li> <li>Assist Test and Balance and manufactures representatives in resolving issues that impact the building plumbing systems.</li> <li>Assist 3rd party commission agent with commissioning of plumbing systems.</li> <li>Diagnose, inspect, and repair a wide variety of plumbing systems.</li> <li>Basic electrical knowledge for all types of plumbing equipment.</li> <li>Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair and testing of plumbing systems.</li> </ul>
Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<br /> <ul> <li>4 to 5 years of Apprentice School or a Technical School degree, and at least 5 years of journey-level experience.</li> <li>Valid Georgia driver&rsquo;s license. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability during the term of employment.</li> <li>Journeyman or Master Plumbing license.</li> <li>CFC Certification</li> </ul> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Standard practices and theory of the plumbing trade</li> <li>Backflow Certification</li> <li>Medical Gas Certification.</li> <li>Confined space certification.</li> <li>Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations</li> <li>Experience in basic record-keeping techniques</li> </ul>
