Overview: HVAC Service Apprentices will be required to assist HVAC Technicians during routine maintenance and inspections on new and existing systems.
Responsibilities: &middot; Help install, maintain, and service a wide variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems.<br /><br />&middot; Replace belts and filters with assistance.<br /><br />&middot; Add refrigerants and oil to required systems.<br /><br />&middot; Clean necessary equipment and parts when needed.<br /><br />&middot; Pick up and deliver necessary parts, materials, supplies, tools and equipment.<br /><br />&middot; Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and orderly condition.<br /><br />&middot; Perform related duties that are assigned.<br /><br />&middot; Perform on call duties for after hours and weekends.
Requirements: &middot; High School graduate or GED.<br /><br />&middot; Valid Georgia driver&rsquo;s license.<br /><br />PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<br /><br />&middot; Knowledge of standard practices and theory of the HVAC trade<br /><br />&middot; HVAC Technical school or Apprenticeship school training with 2 years' experience as a Service Technician<br /><br />&middot; Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to HVAC trade.<br /><br />&middot; Proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies<br /><br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS<br /><br />&middot; Follow oral/written instructions and directions<br /><br />&middot; Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.<br /><br />&middot; Work cooperatively with others.<br /><br />&middot; Work independently with little direction<br /><br />&middot; Meet schedules and timelines<br /><br />&middot; Maintain routine records<br /><br />&middot; Observe legal and defensive driving practices<br /><br />WORKING CONDITIIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS<br /><br />&middot; Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.<br /><br />Moving Safety Forward, our initiative for continuous improvements in our safety culture, reminds us that we are on a journey toward a zero-incident culture.
