Overview: The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a team-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills. S/he will be responsible for consulting with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs, develop sourcing strategies to leverage diverse high-caliber candidates, pre-screen candidates to assess their qualifications through a combination of behavioral and competency-based interviewing and monitor requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment process.<br /><br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; and meeting with managers to discuss needs.</li> <li>Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, social media, and networking</li> <li>Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, and using social media and job sites.</li> <li>Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; and comparing qualifications to job requirements.</li> <li>Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arrange travel, lodging, and meals; escort applicants to interviews.</li> <li>Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interview applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.</li> <li>Supports co-op and intern programs by posting positions; scheduling rotations and assignments; and assisting the program manager.</li> <li>Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; and conducting training.</li> <li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.</li> <li>Develop a working knowledge of departments to quickly identify hiring needs at the department level, as well as how that fits into the broader organizational culture.</li> <li>Develop a pipeline of talent, specifically for frequently filled positions. Work creatively with departments to help create recruitment plans, and identify resources for outreach and staffing needs.</li> <li>Work with department administrators to discuss changing needs and recommend action plans.</li> <li>Process/review and follow up appropriately with all pre-employment background checks.</li> <li>Provide initial screening of applicant pools, as well as phone screens or interviews where applicable.</li> <li>Work within ATS to screen resumes for dissemination to departments. Review and approve internal transactions occurring in your designated area.</li> <li>Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.</li> <li>Assist with ongoing and short-term projects as necessary</li> <li>Other work-related duties as assigned</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>At least 5 years of corporate recruiting experience</li> <li>Experience with OFCCP recruiting regulations and reporting</li> <li>Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and ATS systems</li> <li>Must have experience recruiting with social media</li> </ul> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<br /> <ul> <li>4-year college degree</li> <li>Experience recruiting for engineering and professional construction roles</li> <li>AIRS Certified Recruiter</li> <li>Fluent in Spanish</li> <li>Experience with Taleo/Oracle ATS</li> </ul> KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND CHARACTERISTICS<br /> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times concerning appearance, communication, and behavior</li> <li>Must have excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills</li> <li>Experience in interviewing techniques and running a successful hiring process</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently</li> <li>Must have strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems</li> </ul> WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT<br /> <ul> <li>Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment</li> <li>No or very limited exposure to physical risk.</li> <li>No or very limited physical effort is required.</li> </ul> <br />This job plan is intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels of this position.
