Overview: McKenney's is seeking experienced Test &amp; Balance Technicians to join our team.&nbsp;Our team exists to guarantee the comfort of our customers and the efficiency of their systems.&nbsp; This is mid-level position responsible for performing Testing, Adjusting &amp; Balancing (TAB) of projects to fulfil that purpose in accordance with all NEBB standards&nbsp;while performing diversified duties as a TAB Technician.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components.</li> <li>Testing and adjustment of air and hydronic systems, using specialized, company provided, equipment.</li> <li>Diagnose, Test, Adjust, and Balance system components to achieve optimal system performance.</li> <li>Investigate system and operational deficiencies to determine corrective actions. Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques.</li> <li>Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures.</li> <li>Pay attention to the details and ensure all Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing performed, as well as any issues discovered are addressed fully using clear verbiage and accompanied with supporting documentation.</li> <li>Actively participate in the company&rsquo;s NEBB TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and company standards and practices are maintained.</li> <li>Collaborate with McKenney&rsquo;s construction foremen and project managers on projects to ensure timely resolution of issues.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>NEBB TAB Certified Technician (or AABC or TABB Certification)</li> <li>A minimum of two years&rsquo; experience in the TAB industry</li> <li>Clean driving record and MVR</li> <li>High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.</li> <li>Basic Microsoft Operating System knowledge (Excel &amp; MS Word)</li> <li>NEBB TAB Certified Technician or NEBB TAB Certified Professional</li> <li>Five years of experience in the TAB industry</li> <li>Experience in healthcare facility testing.</li> <li>Knowledge of ASHRAE 170</li> <li>Knowledge of NFPA stairwell pressurization criteria</li> </ul> <br /><br />WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to climb and work at heights, walking, and standing for extended periods of time, lifting, bending, pushing, and moving objects up to 75 pounds.</li> <li>Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments; must also be able to drive in various conditions to conduct work.</li> <li>Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.</li> <li>Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.</li> <li></li> </ul> <br />Moving Safety Forward, our initiative for continuous improvements in our safety culture, reminds us that we are on a journey toward a zero-incident culture.
