Overview: The Account Coordinator is a critical administrative and logistical support role within the Mechanical Service Department. This position serves as the primary liaison between McKenney's clients, Field Service Technicians, and the Service Management team, ensuring timely and effective delivery of maintenance and repair services. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills and a foundational understanding of commercial HVAC systems.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage incoming service requests (phone and email), assessing urgency and accurately documenting client needs.</li> <li>Coordinate and schedule Field Service Technicians for preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergency calls, optimizing routes and maximizing efficiency.</li> <li>Prepare, track, and process service work orders, purchase orders, and client invoices.</li> <li>Assist in generating and tracking repair quotes, communicating scope of work and pricing to clients.</li> <li>Maintain accurate customer records, service histories, and contract documentation within the service management software (e.g., CMMS/ERP).</li> <li>Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any administrative concerns.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; Associate&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or dispatch role, preferably within the construction, mechanical, or facility services industry.</li> <li><strong>Demonstrated foundational knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical building systems.</strong>&nbsp;(Ability to understand basic technical terminology, parts, and service requirements.)</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with service management or CRM software.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technical School; Trade School; Bachelor's Degree.</li> </ul> <p><br /><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.</li> <li>The work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical, and electrical-related hazards, or physical risks, which require the following basic safety precautions.</li> <li>Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.</li> <li>Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.</li> <li>Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, and negotiate work areas under construction.</li> </ul>
