As third generation family-owned company, we are financially strong and one of the most technology-driven mechanical contractors in the country.<br /><br />Our Controls Install Technicians are instrumental in supporting our Installation teams in building long-term customer relations, solving problems, and making recommendations to improve customer systems. They will assist in developing, building, testing, and commissioning building systems such as HVAC, lighting, power, and monitoring<br /><br />
Responsibilities: <div> <ul> <li>Assist teams of installers in developing building, testing, and commissioning building control systems.</li> <li>Uphold controls installation standards and best practices for current systems and methods</li> <li>Basic level understanding of mechanical systems in the buildings we serve</li> <li>Diagnose and repair controls systems malfunctions</li> <li>Learn to read and understand wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings and blueprints</li> <li>Conduct basic building control system installation, configuration, testing, and repair.</li> <li>Prepare documentation and reports on work status and completion.</li> <li>Must complete Pathway and pass performance checkout, as well as hold role for minimum 12 months until you can progress to Controls Install Tech 2.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>1-4 year of experience with building automation systems, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, computer science, OR equivalent education</li> <li>Working knowledge of basic electronics, logic, and systems design.</li> <li>Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications, and database software.</li> <li>High School Diploma</li> </ul> <br /><strong><u>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field OR equivalent certification</li> </ul> &nbsp;<br /><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY, AND CHARACTERISTICS</u></strong> <ul> <li>Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, network, and wiring drawings.</li> <li>Ability to manage professional e-mail communications</li> <li>Ability to manage and maintain a calendar and task management systems</li> <li>Ability to present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude always.</li> <li>Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic and timeliness</li> <li>Must uphold company values and demand the highest level of conduct from self and others</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently</li> </ul>
