Overview: <p>As a&nbsp;Co-op, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Success in this role depends on the Co-op&rsquo;s initiative and teamwork skills.&nbsp;A successful Co-op&nbsp;will learn how to estimate projects and scopes of work, work directly with vendors and subcontractors, and support our operations groups both during the estimating phases and after job turnover.&nbsp;A top&nbsp;achieving&nbsp;Co-op may lead a full multi-million-dollar bid with Sales Engineer guidance.&nbsp;</p> <p>McKenney's has a long history of success in hiring Co-ops and supporting their evolution into industry leaders.&nbsp;Many of our current senior leaders began their journey in the Co-op program.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p>Assist Estimators and Sales Engineers in all phases of the bid process.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to&nbsp;solicit&nbsp;material and equipment quotes.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Manage and organize construction documents.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>With&nbsp;Preconstruction&nbsp;team&mdash;review project drawings and specifications to develop estimates and proposals.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Use our software tools&nbsp;(FastPIPE,&nbsp;FastDUCT, Bluebeam)&nbsp;to produce labor and materials reports.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Support Preconstruction tech initiatives, including RPAs and data capture.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Attend jobsite walks to track and measure estimate performance.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Foster&nbsp;relationships&nbsp;with profit centers&nbsp;and&nbsp;represent the&nbsp;Preconstruction&nbsp;department.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul>
