Overview: <p class="jobtitle">Are you ready for a career and not just a job?&nbsp; Do you want a challenging opportunity to use your automation&nbsp;controls or HVAC mechanical &nbsp;project management skills?&nbsp;&nbsp;We are seeking a&nbsp;talented professional&nbsp;to join our staff as an assistant project manager.</p> <p>The&nbsp; primary focus will be to act in support of existing ACS Project Managers and provide coordination in the areas of manpower allocation and support, material logistics, installation supervision, estimating and pricing, preconstruction reviews, and project documentation.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Estimating and budgeting</li> <li>Written proposals</li> <li>Marketing/sales</li> <li>Customer development and retention</li> <li>Planning and scheduling</li> <li>Cost control</li> <li>Ensuring quality and performance</li> <li>Timely invoicing of all work completed to date and conscientious follow-up on collection of money due to ensure positive cash flow</li> <li>Supervision of field crews</li> <li>Safety awareness, training, promotion</li> <li>Warranty administration</li> <li>Design coordination</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or&nbsp; at least 4 years of field leadership experience</li> <li>At least one year of&nbsp; automation controls experience in the HVAC mechanical, Audio&nbsp; Visual, Security or Lighting industries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Must have PC experience in Windows environments including a working knowledge of spreadsheets, e-mail, and Web-enabled applications</li> </ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Construction degree</li> <li>Co-op or intern experience in this field</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Detail oriented</li> <li>Ability to work on multiple tasks at different stages of completion</li> <li>Ability to respond to urgent requests and complete urgent tasks</li> <li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li> <li>Must have a professional appearance and demeanor</li> <li>Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.</li> <li>Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.</li> <li>Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently</li> <li>Basic understanding of computer IP networks</li> <li>Familiarity with mechanical concepts such as flow, pressure, and heat transfer.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.</li> <li>Work environment involves some exposure to construction-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.</li> <li>Light physical effort.
