The&nbsp;successful candidate will be able to identify and qualify project opportunities, estimate costs with incomplete drawings, and successfully manage the delivery of our services across multiple simultaneous projects in a manner that ensures the development of long-term customer relationships and profitability.
Responsibilities: <p><strong><u>DUTIES &amp; ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Estimating and budgeting</li> <li>Conceptual mechanical design</li> <li>Written proposals</li> <li>Marketing/sales</li> <li>Customer development and retention</li> <li>Planning and scheduling</li> <li>Cost control</li> <li>Ensuring quality and performance</li> <li>Timely invoicing of all work completed to date and conscientious follow-up on collection of money due to ensure positive cash flow</li> <li>Management of field resources</li> <li>Safety awareness, training, promotion</li> <li>Warranty administration</li> <li>Design coordination</li> <li>Scheduling/Short-term look aheads</li> <li>BIM coordination</li> <li>Project closeout</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>College degree (engineering degree and/or coop experience)</li> <li>At least 5 years of relevant experience managing mechanical contracting work.</li> <li>Must have PC experience in Windows environments including working knowledge of spreadsheets, e-mail, and web-enabled applications</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent</li> <li>Co-op or intern experience in this field</li> <li>Construction experience</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Planning oriented with a high degree of attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to multi-task</li> <li>Strong desire to provide excellent customer service and the ability to build strong, lasting customer relationships.</li> <li>High sense of urgency</li> <li>Entrepreneurial spirit</li> <li>Have a genuine passion for the company and the industry</li> <li>Good mechanical aptitude</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently</li> <li>Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals</li> <li>Able to demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance</li> <li>Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic, uphold company values, and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others</li> <li>Professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.</li> <li>Work environment involves some exposure to construction-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.</li> <li>Light physical effort.
