Do you dream of working for an outstanding, stable company that shares your values and rewards customer-focused results, continuous learning, innovation, and integrity?&nbsp;If you are an experienced Controls and Automation&nbsp;professional who&nbsp;&nbsp;enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, we may have the opportunity that you have been waiting for.<br /><br /><strong><u>JOB SUMMARY</u></strong></p> <p>Controls and Automation Service Technicians will be required to test, validate, maintain and troubleshoot complex building HVAC, lighting and monitoring systems and components.&nbsp; Typical components consist of Relays, Transducers, Sensors, Actuators, Automatic Dampers, Automatic Valves, Power Supplies, and so forth.&nbsp; Technicians should have a solid working knowledge of various system types including Pneumatic, Electric/Electronic, Digital and Analog, and Direct Digital Control (DDC).&nbsp; Technicians are expected to respond to various system manufacturer system service outages, operational failures or calibration adjustments, network failures and issues etc. Controls and Automation Service Technicians will also be part of an on-call rotation.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong><u>DUTIES &amp; ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced capabilities troubleshooting system failures and recommend and/or carry out corrective measures.</li> <li>Perform periodic maintenance and calibration on system components.</li> <li>Set-up and maintain system trend logs needed for diagnostics and repairs.</li> <li>Performing system database maintenance and back-up/restore functions as needed.</li> <li>Thorough working knowledge of sensor troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, DVM, and digital metering or calibration equipment (digital thermometer, hygrometer, etc.)</li> <li>Advanced working knowledge of PCs and computer networking.</li> <li>Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and schematics.</li> <li>Ability to interpret and implement complex written sequence of operations or other statement of system design intent.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma or GED</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience working in a service role for a systems manufacturer or authorized systems representative/supplier/vendor on communicating or networked electronic systems</li> <li>Expertise in one or more of the following systems:&nbsp; Tridium (R2/AX/N4), Schneider Electric (Network 8000/IA), Johnson Controls (FX/Metasys/NAE), Trane (Summit/SC/ES), Honeywell (AX, N4), or Distech.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Associates degree (or comparable vocational training) in related field</li> <li>Advanced competency in computer networking and client/server environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Must have a professional appearance.</li> <li>Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals</li> <li>Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.</li> <li>Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.</li> <li>Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.</li> <li>Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.</li> <li>Moderate physical effort.
