Overview: <ul> <li>The position level includes Research Technician, Processing Engineer, Research Associate, or Research Engineer, depending on the possessing degree, training and experience.</li> <li>The nanoengineering core in Nanomedicine Department has pioneered the inter-disciplinary research to combine silicon-based micro/nano-engineering and biomedical sciences to develop promising therapeutics for combating cancer and other diseases.</li> <li>Applied techniques include lithography, thin film processing, wet-bench processing, dry etching, and electrochemical etching.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The candidates are expected to apply silicon microfabrication technology, integrated with laboratory techniques such as electrochemistry, to fabricate nanomaterials and nanodevices for biomedical applications, and further develop standard procedure towards cGMP manufacture for clinical translation.</li> <li>Development and fabrication of nanoporous materials, and biomedical devices based on microfabrication/nanofabrication techniques.</li> <li>Perform standard micro/nanofabrication processing independently, such as photolithography, dry etch, HF acid etch, chemical and physical depositions.</li> <li>Development of Standard Operation Procedures to fabricate silicon-based nanomaterials, and further develop robust cGMP manufacture facility.</li> <li>Develop methodology, and perform routine characterization of the fabricated devices and materials using such as SEM, Ellipsometry, TEM. Help to develop QC methodology.</li> <li>Working cohesively with Principal Investigators, Facility Director/Staff, and outside vendors.</li> <li>Ordering and maintaining adequate levels of laboratory supplies and materials.</li> <li>Keeping accurate and detailed records, following cGMP rules and providing regular updates to the principal investigator.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Sufficient clean room fabrication experiences in silicon processing such as lithography, dry etch, wet etch, HF acid etch, film deposition, wafer bonding.</li> <li>Structural characterization experiences with Elliposometry, SEM, AFM, TEM, etc.</li> <li>Communication skill is essential.</li> <li>Prior experience in HF acid handling and porous silicon processing is an added advantage.</li> <li>For Research Engineer/Research Associate: <ul> <li>PhD degree with 2+ years&rsquo; experience working in desired areas (cleanroom, semiconductor fabrication, and/or acid/base processing</li> <li>or Master degree with 5+ years&rsquo; experience working in desired areas (cleanroom, semiconductor fabrication, and/or acid/base processing)</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>For Research Technician/Processing Engineer: <ul> <li>BS degree in science or equivalent, with 2+ years&rsquo; experience working in desired areas (cleanroom, semiconductor fabrication, and/or acid/base processing)</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
