Responsibilities: <p>Assist Entrepreneurial Agents (in assigned region) in the development and implementation of agency business goals to increase growth and profitability. Support the Entrepreneurial Agents (EA) by participating in training assessment and developing and disbursing product/marketing/service information.&nbsp; Assist management in the review of competitive markets/territories to develop business production and retention strategies for assigned region. Ensure agents have obtained appropriate training and a basic understanding of all sales systems, product offerings, marketing procedures, back-office processes, etc.&nbsp; Provide training where qualified and work with and obtain services of others as appropriate. Maintain inventory of formal technical training received and identify future training needs. Evaluate effectiveness of training program. Monitor financial activities, prepare reports and summarize data for management review.&nbsp; Support adherence to corporate policies, practices and state regulations to ensure compliance guidelines are met.&nbsp;</p> <p>Provide support to various product promotional campaigns to ensure meeting sales goals.&nbsp; Identifies agency issues (e.g. underwriting, processing, performance gaps, etc.) and concerns; developing recommendations and implementing corrective action plans.&nbsp; Act in a liaison role for the installation process and ensure agents are kept current regarding company products and procedures. Closely work with management to ensure all updates or modifications to EA processes, procedures, compliance issues, etc. are communicated in a timely manner through various communication vehicles. Develop project/department objectives, requirements and plans as projects are initiated.&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Preferred:</u></strong></p> <p>Possession the following:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.</li> <li>Obtain State License in Property&nbsp;&amp; Casualty insurance</li> <li>Insurance industry designations (e.g. IIA, CLU, CIC, CPCU).</li> </ul> <p>Experience in/with:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating a Business technology solution</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong><u>REQUIRED:</u></strong></p> <p>Successful completion and maintenance of appropriate State Property &amp; Casualty license for assigned State.</p> <p>Strong organizational, planning, time management and administrative skills demonstrated through recent sales supervision/support experience in sales or product management; or successful sales experience selling personal insurance products in a sales environment.</p> <p>Leadership and/or training experience to include coaching, mentoring, challenging and enabling employees to successfully meet goals.</p> <p>Experience to include:</p> <ul> <li>gathering, researching and analyzing data and making management recommendations</li> <li>preparing reports</li> <li>representing department on task forces, meetings and/or projects</li> <li>modeling and monitoring financial projections for region</li> <li>PC software applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)</li> <li>preparing presentations</li> </ul> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>insurance distribution channels</li> <li>state regulations regarding insurance sales</li> <li>insurance products and services</li> </ul> <p>Demonstrated skills in:</p> <ul> <li>organization and planning</li> <li>coordination and control of projects</li> </ul> <p>Ability to:</p> <ul> <li>analyze sales markets/territories and provide data for management review</li> <li>prepare reports</li> <li>assist EA with skill development and prospecting new sales opportunities</li> <li>identify agent strengths and weaknesses and model skills needed to facilitate corrective action in various areas including product knowledge, prospecting, professionalism, closing techniques, etc.</li> <li>assist management with writing business plans/proposals</li> <li>identify and resolve problems</li> </ul> <p>Possession of a valid State Driver's license.</p> <p>Possess written communication skills including the preparation of proposals, reports and technical writing.&nbsp; (A writing sample may be required at time of interview).</p> <p>Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to travel to various agencies and meetings</p> <p>Willingness and ability to extensively travel</p> <p><strong>Important Note:</strong> The above statements describe the principal and essential functions, but not all functions that may be inherent in the job.&nbsp; This job requires the ability to perform duties contained in the job description for this position, including, but not limited to, the above requirements.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified applicants, as needed, to enable them to fulfill these requirements.</p>
