Overview: <strong>POSITION</strong><br /><br />Provides high quality and accurate diagnostic MRI procedures as requested by physicians and approved by radiologists.<br /><br /><strong>BENEFITS</strong><br /><br />we offer competitive compensation packages and benefits. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Introduces one self to the patient and/or family member and explains the procedure in details.</li> <li>Identifies patient with their name and date of birth.</li> <li>Obtains accurate and detailed history from patient or their immediate family related to the procedure.</li> <li>Prescreens patient for the MRI procedure using current set safety guidelines.</li> <li>Provides high quality and accurate MRI procedures as ordered by a physician, using preset department protocols.</li> <li>Assists in training and orienting new staff in all department functions.</li> <li>Scans prescreen and history sheets in RIS system.</li> <li>Sends MRI exam after completion to the PACS system promptly.</li> <li>Checks the PACS system to ensure the entire exam has been completely transmitted.</li> <li>Verfies the physician order and confers with radiologist when order is not clear, and obtains guidance from radiologist of any modification for the procedure.</li> <li>Keeps track of all supplies needed for the department.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with physicians, nursing staff, technologists and other support staff.</li> <li>Demonstrates compassion with all patient populations from infant to geriatric.</li> <li>Ability to perform MRI procedures.</li> <li>Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Ability to work flexible shifts and at all sites as required.</li> <li>Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.</li> <li>Licensure stated below does not allow for multi-modality exchange (i.e., ionizing radiation producing modalities)</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in Radiology Required</li> <li>Bachelors Allied Health Preferred</li> <li>Completion of a two year accredited school of Radiologic Tech and/or BA. Associates in Applied Sciences and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.</li> <li>1-3 Years Experience in Healthcare/Medical - Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) Required</li> <li>ARRT or ARMRIT must be obtained within 1 year of date of hire</li> </ul>
