Overview: <strong>POSITION</strong><br /><br />Under the supervision of the radiologist, this position provides patients with various types of CT procedures.<br /><br /><strong>BENEFITS</strong><br /><br />we offer competitive compensation packages and benefits. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Performs CT procedures.</li> <li>Obtains guidance from the radiologist when order appears unclear or inappropriate.</li> <li>Obtains pertinent histories and explains exam results to the patient.</li> <li>Procures results in Stat exams and calls results.</li> <li>Answers all phone calls and schedules special procedures.</li> <li>Maintains work area and equipment.</li> <li>Helps to train and orientate new staff and students to job functions.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Proven venipuncture skills.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, interactive and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to work with doctors, nurses, technologists and support staff.</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure and in a stressful environment.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and the ability to work independently without specific supervision in a self-confident manner.</li> <li>Must be professional, courtesy and must have a positive attitude.</li> </ul> <strong>EDUCATION</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Employees hired after January 1, 2015, must have an Associates degree, through an accredited program, as required by the ARRT.</li> <li>Certificate Radiology Required</li> <li>Associates Radiology Required after January 1, 2015</li> <li>2 Imaging Related Required</li> <li>1 Computed Tomography Required</li> <li>2 Computed Tomography Preferred</li> <li>Indiana Radiologic Technologist License</li> <li>ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists</li> <li>ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists</li> <li>Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation</li> </ul>
