Entry to Mid-Level

Overview: Develops, manages, and communicates program activities that support employer, faculty and student career relationships. Creates and develops department marketing activities on and off campus, to engage with employers. Maintains existing employer relationships and cultivates new partnerships. Manages and supervises Employer Spotlight and Employer Partnership Programs and associated resources. Supervises job development activities/events.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Serves as the liaison to the College of Business Administration for various programming and employer introductions.</li> <li>Articulates, advocates and assists with internship opportunities in partnership with faculty and academic units for students.</li> <li>Advises employer representatives in developing and implementing effective college recruitment strategies at CMU.</li> <li>Collaborates with and represents the Career Development Center in partnership with various departments across campus, as assigned by the Director.</li> <li>Participates in corporate site visits to promote hiring of CMU students and strengthens employer relations.</li> <li>Markets services and programs to current and prospective students, parents, employer representatives, faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni.</li> <li>Actively participates in campus, community, state, regional, and national associations.</li> <li>Guides and supervises student leaders of Alpha Kappa Psi and Beta Alpha Psi in the planning and execution of career fair and networking events.</li> <li>Analyzes compiles and disseminates statistical reports relating to employment trends and salary of CMU students.</li> <li>Manages employer/recruiting database (Handshake) updates.</li> <li>Supervises interns as needed.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in related field.</li> <li>Two years of directly related professional experience.</li> <li>Evidence of strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with multiple internal and external constituencies, diverse populations, and differing perspectives.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication, advising, managerial, social media and marketing skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and execute events; conduct classroom presentations, workshops, and programs.</li> <li>Experienced with website, mobile applications and virtual environments for job search, resume construction, interview preparation, on-line networking and recruiting systems.</li> <li>Solid understanding of job market trends and projections.</li> <li>Must be able to travel; work evenings and occasional weekends as required.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.</li> </ul>
