Overview: The Recruiting Coordinator will be working with secondary schools in Oakland County and other organizations to establish relationships and promote the pre-apprenticeship program to students, parents, and counseling staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul> <ul> <li>Establishes relationships with secondary school teachers and counselors in Oakland Schools</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Promotes the pre-apprenticeship program through various outlets.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Maintains records of promotion activities within the secondary schools.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Works with Oakland Schools to establish outlets to engage with students and parents about the program.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Makes presentations to students in classes, groups, or as needed throughout the about apprenticeship pathways.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Travels to external recruitment events in person or through virtual platforms.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Represents college at external events to promote pre-apprenticeship program.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Provides additional department support at external recruitment events.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Provides campus/department tours to perspective students.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Assists with pre-apprenticeship orientation.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Monitors and recommends new recruitment and marketing strategies.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Performs additional duties, as assigned.</li> <li>Ability to work additional hours, as needed.</li> </ul> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Technical Education, Educational Administration, Business or related field preferred OR An Associate degree in Technical Education, Educational Administration, Business or related field and 5-7 years&rsquo; work experience will also be considered to meet minimum education and experience.</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Three years (3) work experience in business/industry/ education in program/project coordination.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Highly Organized</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural diverse working environment</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Knowledge of project coordination</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Ability to think critically and problem solve</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Skill in both written and verbal communications</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <ul> <li>Skill in developing business and industry contact</li> <li>Organizational skills</li> </ul> </ul>
