Overview: <br />In this role, you will be responsible for the management of all electric line&nbsp;crews and contractors in the Cass/Paw Paw service area.&nbsp; You will manage new and upgraded jobs for customers ensuring jobs are completed in a timely, safe and fiscally responsible manner.&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>Employment Type: Full Time</li> <li>Salary Range: $79k - $108k</li> <li>Company Vehicle: Yes</li> <li>Industry: Electric Operations- Management</li> <li>Manages Others: Yes</li> <li>Education: High school diploma</li> <li>Experience: 5 years of experience in the electrical industry preferably with knowledge in project management, supervision and/or electric distribution.&nbsp;<br /> <p>&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Analyzes, manages and directs the activities of electric field staff by assigning and prioritizing work, being available for questions and ensuring construction and maintenance jobs are completed accurately and in a timely manner.</li> <li>Develops, generates, and maintains team spirit and enthusiasm throughout the department.</li> <li>Provides open and honest coaching, feedback, direction and discipline to employees as needed.</li> <li>Approves the design and layout of overhead and underground distribution lines.</li> <li>Responsible for the effective assignment of staff to ensure a quick and positive response to electric service reliability.</li> <li>Analyze service interruption reports and voltage complaints; recommend changes to correct conditions in system design wherever possible; monitor outage records and evaluate the annual summaries for planning of system maintenance.</li> <li>Works with and helps direct the preparation and acquisition of easements and other necessary permits.</li> <li>Works with and helps direct the preparation and updating of all Cooperative maps and circuit diagrams.</li> <li>Works with and helps direct the administration of the Cooperative's work order and plant records system and the preparation of cost estimates and line extension contracts.</li> <li>Will need to be on-call periodically to answer questions and to provide support to other on-call staff.</li> <li>Assists with the material management program and maintaining appropriate inventory of materials.</li> <li>Stake jobs to avoid tree work, work plan jobs and other jobs as needed using the auto-staking program,</li> <li>Manage yearly pole and electric facilities inspection program.</li> <li>Works closely with the Director of Safety and Loss Control in administering all applicable safety and regulatory compliance standards.</li> </ul>
