Overview: The position is responsible for accurately coding and inputting complex data, recognizing and correcting slight errors and inaccuracies in billing records, and working with communities to help resolve Revenue billing issues. This position champions revenue and captures care fees from the field. This position will focus on process improvement and accurate revenue processing.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Functions as a liaison between the community and the Support Center for revenue</li> <li>Post payments immediately to the resident ledger in Yardi when received.</li> <li>Ensure Yardi is updated with rate changes in a timely manner.</li> <li>Upload all proper documentation to resident ledgers into Yardi.</li> <li>Reconcile and analyze resident accounts to ensure accurate and current monthly coding.</li> <li>Keeps updated on information required for remittance of resident care by State Program.</li> <li>Review resident records to ensure proper coding is in place for billing and that all residents are being billed.</li> <li>Resolve billing discrepancies by conducting further research, correcting errors, and submitting appeals.</li> <li>Review bank accounts to ensure deposits are submitted into accurate accounts.</li> <li>Provide assistance for denied or rejected claims.</li> <li>Provide CCO with monthly reports related to aging, adjustments, and revenues received.</li> <li>Enter monthly billing information into databases.</li> <li>Adjusts resident ledger by reviewing remittance advice and consulting with program office.</li> <li>Participates in professional educational opportunities to keep current on programs and reimbursement procedures.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned and within the scope of the position.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Education and Experience:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Associate or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in a field related to the position.</li> <li>Must have proven management experience and ability to manage staff.</li> <li>Minimum three years' experience in assisted living preferred.</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.</li> <li>Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Certifications. Licenses. and other Special Requirements:</strong><br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years or older.</li> <li>Must meet all health requirements, including Health screening and TB clearance.</li> <li>Must pass state required fingerprinting and criminal background process.</li> <li>First Aid certification required.</li> </ul>
