Overview: <br />Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) Canada is seeking a highly motivated and visionary individual to join our team as the Director of Recruiting. As the Director of Recruiting, you will play a crucial role in finding new missionary candidates for work overseas in developing nations. If you have a passion for mission work, a deep understanding of recruiting strategies, and a desire to make a lasting impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you.<br /><br />We are looking for a person, based in western Canada, who will actively strategize and direct recruitment of qualified Career, Short-Term, and Volunteer staff to meet MAF's personnel needs around the world. A key element of this role will be the managing of and participating in our long-term mentoring program with individuals who may be considering missionary work overseas in developing nations. This is essential to the continued growth of the work of MAF worldwide. The ideal candidate will have great people skills, proven ability to create and manage recruitment strategies, and have strengths in administration. Previous overseas mission experience, and/or mission aviation exposure would be helpful, but is not required.<br /><br />About Mission Aviation Fellowship Canada: MAF is a global non-profit organization that uses aviation and technology to bring help, hope, and healing to isolated and vulnerable communities around the world. Our fleet of aircraft and dedicated staff serve people in remote locations by providing medical evacuations, disaster relief, community development, and spiritual support.<br /><br />Tasks will include travel in Canada, from time to time, to colleges and churches as well as vision trips to developing nations in Africa and beyond.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy to attract and identify qualified missionary candidates for service in developing nations.</li> <li>Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the specific needs and requirements of various mission fields.</li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with Bible colleges, seminaries, churches, and other relevant organizations to expand the candidate pool.</li> <li>Utilize various recruitment channels to attract potential candidates.</li> <li>Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and make recommendations to the leadership team.</li> <li>Provide guidance and support to potential candidates throughout the application and selection process.</li> <li>Work closely with the HR department to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new missionaries.</li> <li>Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve the effectiveness of the recruitment process.</li> <li>Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to evaluate the success of the recruiting strategy.<br />&nbsp;<br /><br /></li> </ul>
