Overview: This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a new and exciting challenge to be able to use their skills and knowledge in mission. This is a new role in the PNG team and will be based in Mount Hagen.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities:<br /><br />You will be assisting in the preparation of the program's annual financial plan, based on the tactical plans of the program. Day to day you will be completing the financial monthly accounts including reforecasts to the end of the year. Overseeing the recording of financial transactions and reviewing month end reconciliations. Your attention to detail will be outstanding, with a methodical approach to your work you will also be required to be organized in your work habits.<br /><br />You will be required to lead a small team in the finance department.<br /><br />The role will require some travel to remote bases to conduct internal audits along with spending time in both offices.
Requirements: Essential:<br /> <ul> <li>Tertiary accounting qualifications</li> <li>Membership of a professional accounting body</li> <li>Minimum 3 years accounting experience</li> <li>Minimum 2 years experience leading a team</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail, organised and methodical and responsible work habits</li> <li>Must be willing to travel and spend time in both offices</li> </ul> Desirable:<br /> <ul> <li>Aviation experience</li> <li>Cross-cultural experience strongly recommended</li> </ul>
