Mission Aviation Fellowship of Canada (MAF), a Christian nonprofit organization founded in 1945, is seeking people who share our passion for seeing the Great Commission carried out near and far. MAF operates globally, but its Canadian headquarters are located in Guelph, Ontario. As a part of this organization, this position is a vital part in bringing the Gospel, healthcare, education, disaster relief, food and clean water to isolated people in developing countries.

Overview: <p>Recently we have extended our work into Guinea where we hope we can provide much needed safe and reliable air transport for organizations working in remote locations providing water and sanitation, primary health care and HIV prevention, agricultural development and food security, and the development of sustainable livelihoods.</p> <p>&nbsp;We are looking for a Deputy Director of Operations/Pilot to join the team and help to continue to develop the work that has just started in Guinea. You will need experience in management commercial air transport operations.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p>You will be responsible to ensure:</p> <ul> <li>the safe and efficient use of MAF aircrew and aircraft</li> <li>that aircraft are operated in accordance with applicable standards, legislation, and safety policies</li> <li>support is given for the effective performance, development and training of the MAF flight operations team</li> <li>effective and efficient use of resources</li> <li>that leadership and care is given to the MAF team</li> <li>good partnerships are developed with service providers</li> <li>professional aviation service is given to customers</li> </ul> <p>The role requires you to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, paying particular attention to the information given down the line of process.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>Essential:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Secondary school completion certificate</li> <li>FAA Commercial Pilots License or ATPL</li> <li>3 years experience in management of commercial air transport organization</li> <li>3 years experience as PIC in commercial air transport operations in the last 6 years</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Ability to speak French or willingness to learn</li> </ul>
