Overview: We are looking for and experienced ICS System Engineer too add to our team. The position reports to the Engineering Manager of ICS/Electrical Engineering. Candidates should have experience working with vehicle electrical systems, CAN communications and architectures and working with and testing automotive CAN and LIN buses for FCA or GM. Applicants should be self-starters with strong analytical and problem solving skills and be self-motivated and goal oriented with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Understand embedded software architecture for automotive or similar electronic control modules.</li> <li>Working knowledge of HW, SW development processes.</li> <li>Ability to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware.</li> <li>Able to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting.</li> <li>Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger&rsquo;s, emulators, compilers, etc).</li> <li>Engineer will be responsible for performing component level EE validation testing per DVP&amp;R, generating reports, and documenting /tracking issues</li> <li>Validate Diagnostics and Network Management on System Benches</li> <li>Good understanding of microprocessor based electronics and electronic circuits</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of CAN Diagnostic Tools and Simulation Equipment.</li> <li>Comfortable working with low level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)</li> <li>Experience creating and implementing test sequences to validate electronic control modules.</li> <li>Experience working with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and ICS VehicleSPY. Includes creating measurement/simulation setups, implementing&nbsp; for FCA or GM</li> <li>Create nodes for simulating the entire vehicle bus, writing CAPL scripts, and implementing test sequences.</li> <li>Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Perform Root Cause Analysis</li> <li>Support OEM development stage events based on product development timing</li> <li>Support electrical product design and development and OEM automotive subsystems.</li> <li>Act as Liaison Electrical Engineer and coordinate with MOBIS HQ and OEM for concept design thru final design requirements, including all design review / changes and feasibility reviews.</li> <li>Control and support mechanical engineering data/documents delivery between OEM and MOBIS HQ.</li> <li>Work on site at MNA and also frequently offsite at OEM facilities.</li> <li>Customer technical requirement capture in infotainment system</li> <li>Prior experience in creating RFI and RFQ in infotainment system</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Work and communicate with: Local Customer, Local team members, Research engineers from Korea and/or in Korea - Your project(s) may accompany HQ research engineers remotely or on your business site.</li> <li>Consult with Expatriate coordinator to enhance communication with R&amp;D HQ</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Experience<br /></strong> <ul> <li>About 5+ years of experience in Electrical/Electronic product design or working in the automotive industry.</li> <li>Working knowledge of engineering concepts and principles.</li> <li>Excellent communication skill in terms of collaborating with R&amp;D, marketing, manufacturing, domestic and third party suppliers and customers.</li> <li>Excellent ability to identify and drive resolution to engineering problems</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Previous automotive engineering experience at Tier 1 Supplier.</li> <li>System level software engineering experience in Major OEMs.</li> <li>International joint work experience.</li> </ul> <strong>Education</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Engineering Degree &ndash; B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.</li> </ul>
