Overview: This LPN will receive Dermatology patients at Morris Park office in order to insure the effective delivery of service. Will work at multiple sites when needed (Derm Center, MAP2, Scarsdale).
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide patient/family teaching and discharge instructions to meet learning/discharged needs as identified by RN.</li> <li>Able to set priorities, problem solve and use proper judgment in difficult situations and be flexible in non-emergent situations.</li> <li>Provides and maintains safe environment for patients/families through preventive and interventional measures.</li> <li>Documents direct patient care as per MMC policies and procedures.</li> <li>Participates, practices and promotes continuous quality improvement.</li> <li>Communicates effectively with patients/families and members of the health care team.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsible and accountable for following MMC guidelines.</li> <li>Sterilize instruments and equipment using the autoclave.&nbsp;</li> <li>Order and maintain medications and supplies to par level for site/s. Ensure exam rooms are appropriately, cleaned and stocked each session and between patients.</li> <li>Collect and properly label specimens as per MMC policy. Maintain specimen(blood,biopsy) logbooks and report abnormal results to MD.&nbsp;</li> <li>Greet and direct patients to exam room.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
