And as we continue to move forward, we seek professionals who want to join our team of leaders and trailblazers to advance the health of our communities in Westchester, the Hudson Valley and the Bronx.<br /> <br /> About the Division of Academic General Pediatrics The Division of Academic General Pediatrics consists of attending physicians, nurse practitioners, PhD social scientists, psychologists, social workers and administrative staff. Our clinical sites are patient centered medical homes with integrated mental health services. Our practices are the primary teaching sites for residents in our pediatric residency program and include a federally qualified health center. Division faculty are actively engaged in medical education, quality improvement and research.
Responsibilities: The Division of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is seeking a full- time Newborn Nursery Pediatrician to join our division and practice at the Jack D. Weiler Hospital. Our two birthing hospitals, Jack D. Weiler Hospital and Montefiore Wakefield Campus are both located within 4 miles of CHAM. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical evaluations for newborns, teaching of residents and medical students and participation in quality/performance improvement initiatives. We are looking for candidates who are board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills, and have experience in medical education. The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.<br /> <br /> About the Jack D. Weiler Hospital and Montefiore Wakefield Campus The Jack D. Weiler Hospital is a 403-bed hospital and a Perinatal Regional Center with a level 4 NICU that delivers about 3300 infants per year. The Montefiore Wakefield Campus includes a 234-bed hospital with a level 3 NICU that delivers about 1200 infants per year.<br /> <br /> About the Division of Academic General Pediatrics The Division of Academic General Pediatrics consists of attending physicians, nurse practitioners, PhD social scientists, psychologists, social workers and administrative staff. Requirements: In addition to a competitive salary of $175,000-$210,000 commensurate with academic rank, we offer the opportunity to enhance compensation with clinical productivity incentives and bonuses.
