Overview: Receives patients in MAP2 clinic in order to insure the effective delivery of service. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide patient/family teaching and discharge instructions to meet learning/discharged needs as identified by RN.</li> <li>Able to set priorities, problem solve and use proper judgment in difficult situations and be flexible in non-emergent situations.</li> <li>Provides and maintains safe environment for patients/families through preventive and interventional measures.</li> <li>Documents direct patient care as per MMC policies and procedures.</li> <li>Participates, practices and promotes continuous quality improvement.</li> <li>Communicates effectively with patients/families and members of the health care team.</li> <li>Responsible and accountable for following MMC guidelines.</li> <li>Sterilize instruments and equipment using the autoclave.</li> <li>Order and maintain medications and supplies to par level for site/s. Ensure exam rooms are appropriately, cleaned and stocked each session and between patients.</li> <li>Collect and properly label specimens as per MMC policy. Maintain specimen(blood,biopsy) logbooks and report abnormal results to MD.</li> <li>Greet and direct patients to exam room.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED</li> <li>NYS LPN License and current registration to practice</li> <li>Minimum 1 year work experience</li> <li>Basic Life Support.</li> <li>Centrifuge,&nbsp;EKG Machine, sterilization process and/or Autoclave Machine where applicable.</li> <li>Misc.
