Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Medical services rendered by physician assistants may include, but are not limited to, obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations; ordering and/or performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; formulating a diagnosis; developing and implementing a treatment plan; monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; assisting at surgery; offering counseling and education to meet patient needs; making appropriate referrals.</li> <li>Physician Assistants, in an emergency, shall be authorized to treat any medical disease and/or perform any medical and surgical procedures at the hospital for affiliates. An emergency, for these purposed, is defined as a situation in which any delay in administering treatment would result in serious harm the patient or an immediate threat to life of the patient and that a qualified practitioner is not immediately available.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Graduate of an ARC-PA approved PA program and hold a bachelor&rsquo;s degree or higher.</li> <li>New York State License for Physician Assistant and current registration</li> <li>NCCPA certification</li> </ul> <br /> For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed&nbsp;rate is the hiring&nbsp;rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.<br />
