Responsibilities: <ul> <li class="xtableparagraph">The provision of care includes, but is not limited to: performing history and physical examinations, comprehensive assessment, ordering&nbsp;diagnostic test, prescribing pharmacological agents and treatments and non-pharmacological therapies,&nbsp;following therapeutic protocols, and&nbsp;providing&nbsp;educational&nbsp;instruction in collaboration with the multidisciplinary transplant team.</li> <li class="xtableparagraph">This individual must demonstrate the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.&nbsp;This position will provide medical/surgical care to pre&nbsp;and&nbsp;post liver, kidney &amp; pancreas transplant patients, hepatobiliary surgery and Vascular access patients.</li> <li class="xtableparagraph">Additional responsibilities include fluid management post liver and kidney/pancreas transplant; Post transplant care - managing patients in recovery unit, ICU, transplant floor, wound management, foley management; Pre-op patients for abdominal transplants (kidney, pancreas, liver).</li> <li class="xtableparagraph">The PA will work in the inpatient hospital&nbsp;setting.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree RequiredGraduate of an accredited Physician&rsquo;s Assistant required&nbsp;program.</li> <li>Registered as a Physician&rsquo;s Assistant in New York&nbsp;State</li> <li>NCCPA&nbsp;certified</li> <li>BLS &amp; ACLS certification required</li> <li>4 years PA experience &ndash; required</li> <li>Inpatient experience- preferred</li> <li>Spanish Speaking &ndash; preferred not required</li> <li>Schedule: Variable, includes nights and weekends</li> </ul> <p class="xxdefault">&nbsp;</p>
