Overview: Reporting to Women&rsquo;s Health Leadership, the Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) contributes standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. &nbsp;The Licensed Practical Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced score card performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center for Women&rsquo;s Health OB/GYN.&nbsp;<br /> <br />Department: OB/GYN Bargaining Unit: 1199 Campus: YONKERS Employment Status: Regular Full-Time Address: 1075 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale<br />Shift: Day Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM Req ID: 220099 Salary Range/Pay Rate: $34.72
Responsibilities: The LPN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice, standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The LPN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. He/she is committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and is responsible for the delivery of care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or elderly patient within their scope of practice. LPN is responsible for chaperoning, education, venipuncture panels, patient clinical flow, high level disinfection and maintenance, and other clinical duties as assigned within their scope of work.&nbsp;<br /> <br />
Requirements: <p>High school diploma/ GED required.</p> <p>New York State License for Practical Nurse and current registration to practice as an LPN in New York State.<br />One year experience in Women&rsquo;s Health OB/GYN preferred. Phlebotomy.<br />Effective English communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal.<br />Basic Life Support certification.<br />Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval system.</p> <br />Please note: &nbsp;This position may travel to the other Women&rsquo;s Health OB/GYN locations within NYC and Westchester areas (Eastchester, Scarsdale, Bronx East, Kossuth, Hartsdale, Wakefield, Weiler and Moses campuses) as needed.<br />
