Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The NP will provide care to pediatric patients during or after transplant or cellular therapy, patients with transplant-related complications, and patients who are being monitored for late effects after transplant. Other patient groups include those undergoing consultation for consideration of transplant/ cellular therapy and those who are undergoing diagnostic work up for possible bone marrow failure.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Current New York State Nurse Practitioner specialty certification and registration.</li> <li>Masters or post Masters Certificate in specialty as a nurse practitioner preferred; or a combination of education and experience that is acceptable to N.Y. State Education Department and the Director of Nursing and/or Chairman of the Department, or Division Director.</li> <li>National certification in nurse practitioner specialty (i.e.: ANCC, AACP or NAPNAP) preferred.</li> </ul> <strong>Additional education as required by specialty/patient care location.</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Prefer 3 years - Pediatric Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Experience</li> <li>Prefer experience managing acute and chronic care in pediatric patients</li> <li>Prefer APHON Chemotherapy</li> <li>Years of related experience required 2 years.</li> </ul> <br /><br />
