Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The position overseas all activities regarding development and implementation of standards of care, professional development and quality/ performance improvement for the delivery of nursing care. Analyzes and controls divisional financial performance.</li> <li>Directs and ensures the quality of all services and activities required to support patient care.</li> <li>This position has professional responsibility for collaboration with the physician teams in multiple sub-specialties and assures the integration of interdisciplinary team members to the service lines.</li> <li>This position supervises directors and managers across multiple units, departments and ensures supervision across all shifts.</li> <li>Coordinates, collaborates and facilitates the delivery of services from other support departments that impact the care delivery system.</li> <li>This role is responsible for all the operations of shared governance structure in the division of nursing. Scope of authority includes oversight of clinical, financial, and patient experience performance.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration.</li> <li>Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field required.</li> <li>Master of Science degree in Nursing or related field required.</li> <li>Minimum of 10 years management experience required.</li> <li>Cultural competencies and knowledge of operations, activities and services related to all clinical service (eg IP, ED, MCI, CC, Ambulatory)</li> <li>Professional level of knowledge in finance, budgeting, and planning</li> <li>Demonstrated managerial and leadership ability, and excellent personnel management and communication skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).</li> <li>Effective management skills necessary to organize direct and evaluate the activities of patient care off shift operations.</li> <li>Ability to apply and utilize the balanced scorecard measures (customer service, financial, innovation and growth, and performance improvement).</li> <li>Critical thinking and analytic skills necessary for problem solving and clinical decision-making.</li> <li>Computer literacy.</li> <li>American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification in Nursing Administration or Advanced Administration desired.</li> </ul>
