Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.<br /><br /><br /><br />Receives patients at clinic reception area. Performs general clerical duties. Under general supervision, performs chemical analysis on blood samples and blood gases of cardiac catheterization patients.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Monitors EKG and pressure recordings of patients during procedures.</li> <li>Maintains appropriate logs related to procedures.</li> <li>Performs related duties.</li> <li>Under direct supervision of the physician and RN, prepares patients, assembles, and operates hemodynamic and electrophysiology equipment during interventional and diagnostic procedures.</li> <li>Continuously monitors vital signs, EKG, and pressure recordings.</li> <li>Analyses inter-cardiac electrogram and reports results.</li> <li>Performs direct and indirect patient care.</li> <li>Maintains appropriate documentation.</li> <li>Performs other duties as related to the daily operation of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>RCIS (registered cardiovascular invasive specialist) and/or RCS (registered cardiac electrophysiology specialist) and/or IBHRE (international board of heart rhythm examiners) certification preferred at hire or within 2 years of employment.</li> <li>Licensed Clinical laboratory technologist preferred.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred.</li> <li>High School Diploma required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
