Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)</strong>, you will provide general and regional anesthesia services to patients under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Prepare the anesthesia cart and necessary supplies.</li> <li>Prepare and check the anesthesia machine prior to procedures.</li> <li>Requisition, prepare, and label perioperative medications.</li> <li>Conduct preoperative patient evaluations.</li> <li>Obtain appropriate intravenous access.</li> <li>Apply all required patient monitoring equipment.</li> <li>Document all anesthesia department records in a timely and legible manner.</li> <li>Document all perioperative pharmacological interventions.</li> <li>Document all perioperative non-pharmacological interventions and events on the anesthesia record.</li> <li>Provide patient report to PACU nursing staff following procedures.</li> <li>Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room and anesthesia areas.</li> <li>Notify anesthesia technicians of equipment issues or supply needs.</li> <li>Maintain accurate counts of all controlled substances used.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).</li> <li>Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p><strong>Montefiore, DOING MORE&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>DOING MORE means building on a history of firsts to create the future of healthcare.
