Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees. The Montefiore RN maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The Registered Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The CHAM Heart Center RN will provide care in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Care Unit, providing exceptional care to infants and children with complex cardiac conditions.</li> <li>The CHAM Heart Center RN will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.</li> <li>The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.</li> <li>The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as a RN.</li> <li>Minimum of 1-2 years of Critical Care Experience</li> <li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification</li> </ul> Preferred:&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>BSN Degree 1-2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Experience Certification in Specialty</li> </ul>
