Overview: The&nbsp;Department&nbsp;of&nbsp;Obstetrics&nbsp;&amp; Gynecology and&nbsp;Women&rsquo;s&nbsp;Health&nbsp;(OBGYN&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;WH)&nbsp;is seeking a&nbsp;dynamic&nbsp;Maternal&nbsp;Fetal&nbsp;Medicine&nbsp;Specialist with solid&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;and&nbsp;academic experience&nbsp;to&nbsp;join&nbsp;the&nbsp;faculty&nbsp;of Albert&nbsp;Einstein&nbsp;College&nbsp;of&nbsp;Medicine&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;Medical&nbsp;Staff of Montefiore&nbsp;Medical&nbsp;Center in New York City, New York.&nbsp;They will join&nbsp;the&nbsp;Maternal&nbsp;Fetal&nbsp;Medicine&nbsp;Division within one of the&nbsp;largest&nbsp;OBGYN&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;WH&nbsp;departments and residency programs&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;country.&nbsp;Experience&nbsp;and&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;in&nbsp;fetal&nbsp;medicine/ultrasound&nbsp;from an AIUM certified facility is preferred along with a&nbsp;strong&nbsp;aptitude for, and&nbsp;commitment&nbsp;to,&nbsp;high risk,&nbsp;complex&nbsp;cases<br /><br />The Maternal Fetal Medicine&nbsp;division&nbsp;provides&nbsp;care&nbsp;to&nbsp;patients&nbsp;throughout the Bronx&nbsp;and&nbsp;southern Westchester&nbsp;counties.&nbsp; There are currently 9 attendings, 8 Fellows and 1 PA dedicated to inpatient service.&nbsp;In collaboration with the Generalist&nbsp;division,&nbsp;the Maternal&nbsp;Fetal&nbsp;Medicine&nbsp;Specialists&nbsp;co-manage the&nbsp;Labor&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Delivery&nbsp;service&nbsp;across two&nbsp;hospitals&nbsp;with levels 3&nbsp;and&nbsp;4&nbsp;NICU,&nbsp;averaging 5,100 total&nbsp;deliveries&nbsp;per&nbsp;year.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br /><br /><br /><strong><u>THE DEPARTMENT:&nbsp;&nbsp;</u></strong>The&nbsp;Department&nbsp;is&nbsp;committed&nbsp;to&nbsp;scientific&nbsp;discovery&nbsp;and to&nbsp;education,&nbsp;with&nbsp;one&nbsp;of the&nbsp;largest&nbsp;residency&nbsp;programs&nbsp;(46&nbsp;trainees)&nbsp;and&nbsp;fellowships in&nbsp;every&nbsp;discipline,&nbsp;five&nbsp;of which&nbsp;are&nbsp;ACGME&nbsp;accredited (MFM, GYNONC, REI, FPMRS and Complex Family Planning). We have an accredited residency in Reproductive Genetics and offer a MIGS fellowship.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <p>The&nbsp;Division&nbsp;provides a wide range of high-risk&nbsp;reproductive care&nbsp;services&nbsp;and provides&nbsp;fetal&nbsp;medicine&nbsp;ultrasound&nbsp;diagnostic&nbsp;services across three campuses including:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Early Access Prenatal Center&nbsp;</li> <li>Maternal Fetal Medicine Cardiology Joint Program&nbsp;</li> <li>HIV in Pregnancy Program &nbsp;</li> <li>Fetal Medicine Program&nbsp;</li> <li>Reproductive Infectious Diseases&nbsp;</li> <li>Fourth Trimester Integrated Clinic&nbsp;</li> <li>Reproductive Psychiatry&nbsp;</li> <li>Health Equity Task Force Social Determinants of Health Initiative</li> <li>Reproductive and Perinatal Genetics&nbsp;</li> </ul>
