Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Consultation Liaison&nbsp;<u>Psychiatry&nbsp;</u>service at Moses is a busy&nbsp;<u>and innovative&nbsp;</u>&nbsp;consultation and teaching service&nbsp;<u>which continues to&nbsp;</u>expand&nbsp;to meet the mental health and addictions treatment needs of&nbsp;<u>the medical center</u><u>.&nbsp;</u><u>&nbsp;</u><u>The&nbsp;</u>two new fulltime Consultation Liaison<u>&nbsp;</u>academic attendings will<u>&nbsp;</u>join our existing multidisciplinary team of four and 1/2 psychiatrist Consultation<u>&nbsp;Liaison</u>&nbsp;Psychiatrist<u>s</u>, two Transplant Psychiatrist, three psychologists, and a social worker. The Consultation Psychiatrists will be responsible for direct care in-patient consultation patient care consults and the supervision trainees&rsquo; consults, division, and departmental activities.</li> <li>&nbsp;The Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist position follows a collaborative care. The new Psychiatrist shares all the resource of a busy transplant center. This includes excellent administrative staff, six social workers, pharmacist, psychologists, care coordinators, nutritionist, and doctors from various disciplines. While the Psychiatrist is imbedded in the Transplant Center, they are very much part of the Consultation Liaison Team.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>As a team we participate in the education and training of many different learner<u>s</u>&nbsp;including medical students, Psychiatry and Neurology Residents, Consultation L<u>iaison&nbsp;</u>and Addiction Fellows<u>,</u>&nbsp;and Psychology Interns.</li> <li>The Moses campus hospital is a 750-bed tertiary care, referral hospital with a wide range of services. While the hospital draws patients from the&nbsp;<u>tri</u>-state area, the mission of&nbsp;<u>Montefiore</u>&nbsp;<u>is oriented to providing&nbsp;</u>outstanding, comprehensive care to&nbsp;<u>the</u>&nbsp;Bronx communit<u>ies with</u>.
