Overview: <p>The Montefiore Administrative Nurse Manager, maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses&rsquo; Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing&rsquo;s Social Policy Statement.</p> <p>The Administrative Nurse Manager, actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Administrative Nurse Manager, participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.</li> <li>The Administrative Nurse Manager, demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.&nbsp;</li> <li>Has a 24-hour responsibility for the supervision, scheduling, hiring, firing and performance appraisal of nursing and ancillary associates.</li> <li>Coordinates other activities including but not limited to inventory management, budgeting, and performance improvement activities to promote efficient/effective operations and quality patient care.</li> <li>Demonstrates leadership and clinical expertise in area (s) of responsibility.</li> <li>Responsible for developing and maintaining competence of assigned associates.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>SCHEDULE: </strong>12 PM-8 PM. Monday-Friday.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree from an accredited program required or a projected graduation date within three years of position acceptance.</li> <li>Minimum of two-three years' management experience or progressive leadership experience.</li> <li>Minimum of three years of pediatric ASU/PACU experience.</li> <li>BLS.</li> <li>ACLS.</li> <li>PALS.</li> </ul>
